“My brother handed it off to me because he couldn’t fit it in his bag as he was preparing to deploy to Afghanistan. I gave the heart away in Verona, Wisconsin, to Nemo, a coworker visiting from the Netherlands. Nemo says that he’ll try to get it to Indonesia before handing it off, since he was headed that way.”
“I received this orange heart from my friend Adam while I was painting a mural on his studio apartment wall. The mural is in a renovated old opera house (now apartment building) in Brooklyn, NYC.
I gave my heart to my friend Darci, who traveled from the Buffalo area to visit the New York City and eat cupcakes with me. I gave her the heart in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Afterward we ate Chinese doughnuts, drank cheap coffee, and rode the N train to the East Village on a cold but sunny November day.”
