a participatory art project by Nathaniel Lieb and Sarah Nelson Wright

Nathaniel Lieb & Sarah Nelson Wright have collaborated on works combining sculpture and media often located in public space and/or inviting public participation. This CONFLUX marks their third collaboration, with other works exhibited at The Center, Arts@Renaissance, and Bring to Light NYC.

I like to think that I make art alone in my studio.  But in truth the more I make it, I realize it makes me. It tells me how big I am and how far I can reach and tells me to go farther. The deeper I get with it the more generous it demands I be.  That I attach myself to the world. Thank you.

I am a Brooklyn-based artist, writer and educator from the San Francisco Bay Area. Last fall, I created BROOKLYN MAKES, a site-specific video installation about manufacturing in Northern Brooklyn.  This fall I curated Common Ground, a group show about North Brooklyn at Arts@Renaissance of St. Nicks Alliance, a new community arts space in Williamsburg.  I am very excited to be participating in my second CONFLUX.
